Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to conduct an enquiry and conclude the same as per the direction of the first respondent in proceeding O.Mu.A1/23796/2018 dated 31.12.2018 based on the complaint of the petitioner dated 03.12.2018.

O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. Considering the nature of relief to be granted in this Writ petition, notice to the private respondents is dispensed with.

3. The petitioner has given a complaint in the matter of disbursement of Crop insurance before the first respondent. The first respondent has forwarded the same to the second respondent. The grievance of the petitioner is that the matter is kept pending on the file of the second respondent. Therefore, the second respondent is directed to conduct an enquiry into the petitioner's complaint on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the matter. This Court has not given any positive direction to the second respondent to pass orders one way or the other. It is for the second respondent to consider the materials on record and dispose of the petitioner's request appropriately.

5. The Writ petition stands disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
