ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner has given an application on 07.06.2018 seeking permission to quarry gravel from his patta land. The first respondent is the authority competent to take a decision in the matter.

3. The first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's application on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not given any positive direction to the first respondent to pass orders in one way or other. It is for the first respondent to pass appropriate order taking note of the facts and circumstances. It is also made clear that this Court has not pronounced anything on the merits of the matter.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
