(Order of the Court was made by C.T.SELVAM, J.) Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Government Pleader for respondents.

2. Petitioner seeks a Writ of Mandamus, directing respondents to grant permission and adequate police protection for conducting the Jallikkattu event on 13.05.2018 in the petitioner's village https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

ie., Oorapatti Village, Iluppur Taluk, Pudukkottai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 28.03.2018.

3. Considering the rival submissions and nature of the matter, we consider it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 28.04.2018, on merits and proceed in accordance with law, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The outcome of the representation of the petitioner may be intimated by the respondents to him.

4. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
