ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 08.05.2020 seeking for issuance of patta in his name in respect of the property comprised in Old S.No.283/5 and now R.S.No.465/21 of Alanganallur Village, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2.According to the petitioner, he is the absolute owner of the aforementioned property having got the same under a settlement deed dated 25.03.2009 registered as Document No.1253/2009 SROAlanganallur. According to the petitioner, he is in possession of the property eversince the purchase.
He has submitted a representation seeking for patta in his name on 08.05.2020 with the respondents. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. 3.Heard Mr.S.Ramsundarvijayraj, learned Counsel for the writ petitioner and Mr.B.Saravanan, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P.[MD]No.5951 of 2022 4.No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation seeking for issuance of patta in his name for the aforementioned property is considered on merits and in accordance with law, after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner as well as any other rival claimants, if any. 5.Accordingly, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.05.2020 seeking for issuance of patta in his name in respect of the property comprised in Old S.No.283/5 and now R.S.No.465/21 of Alanganallur Village, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner as well as any other rival claimants, if any, within a period of twelve [12] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
