ORDER

Seeking for police protection to survey the land in Survey No. 260/1A1A measuring 81.50 Ares situated in Thirupalaikudi Village, Rajasingamangalam Taluk, Ramanathapuram which belong to the Wakf Board, this criminal original petition is filed.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a President of North Muslim Jamath Sabai, who is maintaining the said property. However, certain vested interest persons are attempting to encroach the said land. Hence, the petitioner is at necessity to survey the said land, for which he had paid the necessary fee to the revenue department. However, on 27.10.2025, when the survey was conducted, one Ravi and others had hindered the revenue authorities from laying the survey stones. Hence, this petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) submitted that based on the petitioner's representation, the respondent police had requested the jurisdictional Tahsildar to convene a peace committee 2/5

meeting. Pursuant thereto, a peace committee meeting was conducted, in which both parties participated and agreed for conducting a survey. Accordingly, the survey was scheduled to be conducted on 05.03.2026.

4. Heard the learned counsels on either side and carefully perused the materials available on record.

In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) that the Revenue Authorities have already scheduled a survey to be conducted on 05.03.2026, the petitioner is directed to await till 05.03.2026. The 2nd respondent police is directed to provide necessary police protection and to facilitate the survey authorities in laying survey stones upon completion of the survey in the said property.

6. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
