: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents not to allow Dr.Rajamannar and his so-called festival committee to conduct the annual festival to be celebrated in the Sriman Narayanaswamy Temple premises on 06.05.2018 and 07.05.2018. For Petitioner : Mr.G.M.Xavier For Respondents : Mr.Aayiram K.Selvakumar, Additional Government Pleader.

ORDER

The facts stated in the affidavit filed in support of this petition and the prayer sought for in this writ petition would clearly show that the petitioner wants relief against individual persons, who have rival claim. It is also admitted that the temple in question is a private temple and long back, the HR & CE Department had declared so. In such circumstances, the remedy of the petitioner is to go before the Civil Court and establish his right.

2.In view of the above, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
