O R D E R

This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to depute any other Inspector of Police other than the second respondent herein to investigate the case registered in crime No.95 of 2020 under Section 174 Cr.P.C., now pending on the file of the second respondent.

2.Today, when the petition is came up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that now the Inspector of Police, Srirangam Police Station, Trichy, who registered and investigated the case in crime No.95 of 2020, was transferred from the said post and another one Inspector had assumed the charge of Inspector of Police in said Police Station.

3.The submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor is recorded. Since the erstwhile Inspector of Police, Srirangam Police Station, who registered the above said case, has been transferred, the prayer sought for by the petitioner has become infructuous.
