Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to remove the obstructions / encroachments in the water canal passing through the properties in Tiruchirappalli District, Tiruverambur Taluk, Keelakurichi Village, S.F.Nos. 2/2H1, 2/2H2, 2/2H3, 2/2H4, in within a time frame fixed by this Court by considering the petitioner's representations dated 10.10.2023 and 01.03.2024. Heard both sides.

2.Though the petitioner alleges that the private respondents herein are obstructing the free flow of water through the petition mentioned survey numbers, the revenue records do not bear out the petitioner's allegations. 3.The learned Special Government Pleader has made available the extracts of the A-Register. It is seen therefrom that the petition mentioned 2/4

survey number has been classified as "patta lands". Even in the FMB there is no detailed mark indicating the existence of channel. 4.We are therefore not in a position to grant relief as sought for. 5.This Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
