COMMON PRAYER: Writs Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to regularize the petitioners service, by absorbing the petitioners into a regular vacancy, based on the proposal dated 26.10.2013 submitted, by the 2nd respondent to the 1st respondent, for absorption of drivers and on other grounds. For Petitioner : Mr.C. Kishore in all W.Ps.

ORDER

These Writ Petitions have been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to regularize the services of the petitioners on the basis of the proposal submitted by the 2nd respondent to the 1st respondent, for the absorption of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioners.

2. Mrs. J. Padmavathy Devi, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. According to the learned counsel for the petitioners, the petitioners are working as Drivers in Mobile Medical Units (now redesignated as "Hospital on Wheels") in various Districts. Their grievance is that despite calling for the details of the temporary drivers working in various Districts for more than five years and consolidated proposals were also submitted for absorption, the same is pending with the Government without further progress. The prolonged delay in consideration, prompted the petitioners to approach this Court with the present Writ Petitions.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that such proposal is under favourable consideration and appropriate decision would be taken within a period of twelve weeks.

5. Recording the above submission, these Writ Petitions are disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
