ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking to direct the the respondents to pay all retirement benefits of the petitioner including Special Provident Fund gratuity and Earn Leave salary along with interest, by considering his representation dated, 14.12.2018, within a time stipulated by this Court.
2. Mrs.S. Srimathy, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has made a representation dated 14.12.2018 to the respondents seeking his retirement benefits and the same is pending without any consideration. Hence, this Writ Petition.
4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that the respondents would consider the representation of the petitioner on merits and pass appropriate orders within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 14.12.2018, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner,
6. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
