ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking to direct the the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal filed under Rule 57 of the Tamil Nadu State and Subordinate Service Rules, dated 11.02.2019, pending on the file of the respondent No.1, within the time frame stipulated by this Court.
2. Mrs.S. Srimathy, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for disposal at the admission stage.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has filed an appeal to the first respondent under Rule 57 of the Tamil Nadu State of Subordinate https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Service Rules on 11.02.2019 and the same is pending without any consideration. Hence, this Writ Petition.
4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that the first respondent would dispose of the petitioner's appeal within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5. Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer made by the petitioner and considering the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 11.02.2019, pending on his file, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner,
6. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
