Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent herein to renew and reissue the passport bearing No.A7885324 vide File No.TR1079406631516, in the form of newly Electronically updated Typed format to the petitioner by considering the petitioner's representation dated 15/03/2017.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Solicitor General of India for the respondent. This writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2.The writ petitioner seeks renewal and re-issuance of the petition mentioned passport. The petitioner is facing a criminal case. But then, the proceedings have been stayed by this Court in Crl OP(MD)No.19319 of 2016. Interim stay granted by this Court in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ the said Criminal Original Petition is still in force. The

petitioner's daughter is said to be in Tailand. The petitioner has to be with his daughter at the time of her child birth. 3.Considering the special facts and circumstances obtaining in this case, this Court directs the respondent to renew the petitioner's passport for a period of one year from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is allowed on these terms. No costs.
