Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondent to produce the person or body of the Petitioners daughter namely M.S.Jeyashree, aged about 22 years before this Court and set her at liberty.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by V.RAMASUBRAMANIAN,J.) The detenue was produced before us. She has stated that she was born on 18.11.1993 and attained majority. She claims to have married the newly impleaded fourth respondent who was her teacher on 28.07.2015. She also stated before us that she has conceived and is in the fourth month of pregnancy.

2.The parents of the detenue as well as the sister of the detenue appeared. They also admitted that the detenue is a major. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 3.In the light of the very admission of the petitioner that the detenue is a major and in the light of the categorical stand taken by the

detenue before us, we have no option except to dismiss the Habeas Corpus Petition leaving it open to the parties to work out whatever remedies they have before the appropriate forum.

4.Due to the behavior of the parents and other family members of the detenue, we direct the police to give adequate protection to the detenue and the person with whom she will live. Sd/- Assistant Registrar(T&P) /True Copy/ Sub Assistant Registrar.
