ORDER : The Court made the following order :- Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

2. The petitioner apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under sections 448, 294(b), 323, 324 & 506(ii) of I.P.C., r/w Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Women Harassment Act in Crime No.716 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

3. Due to previous enmity, the petitioner along with three others have gone to the house of the defacto complainant, armed with weapon. They attacked the mother of the defacto complainant and the defacto complainant and caused cut injury. 4.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that previous enmity was due to misbehavior of the defacto complainant with the mother of the petitioner. CRL OP(MD). No.5414 of 2020 the defacto complainant, and enquired about the occurrence, wordy quarrel took place leading to this complaint. Hence, he seeks anticipatory bail.

5.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that this petitioner and three others armed with weapon, went to the house of the defacto complainant and attacked the mother of the defacto complainant. Thereafter, fleded from the scene of occurrence.

6.Taking note of the circumstances under which crime has committed and the abscondence of the petitioner, this Court is of the view that granting of anticipatory bail may deter the investigation.
