ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to pass orders on the proposal dated 17.12.2018 seeking prior approval for dismissal of a teacher from service. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner-school has decided to dismiss a Post Graduate teacher by name I.Balakrishnan, based on several allegations, for which, prior permission under Section 22 of the Tamil Nadu Private Schools (Regulation) Act, 1972, is necessary. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Hence, the petitioner submitted the proposal dated 17.12.2018 to the first respondent through the second respondent. But no order has been passed so far by the respondents on the proposal. Therefore, this writ petition has been filed.

4.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that appropriate orders will be passed on the proposal dated 17.12.2018 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5.In view of the above submission, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to pass orders on the proposal dated 17.12.2018 one way or the other, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. 6.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
