Respondents Prayer:- Habeas Corpus Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus directing the respondents to produce the body or person of the petitioner's father by name Murugesan, Son of Muniyandi (male aged 46 years), who is presently detained at District Jail, Ramanathapuram before this Court and consequently set him at liberty and pass such further or other orders. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to trace out and produce the detenu by name Murugesan, Son of Muniyandi.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has represented that the detenu has been arrested in connection with Crime No.8 of 2015 registered under Sections 8(c) read with 20(b)(ii)(c) and 25 of NDPS Act, 1985 and subsequently remanded to custody.

3. In support of the contention putforth on the side of the respondents, certified copy of remand report has been filed wherein it is stated that the detenu has been arrested and remanded to custody.

4. Considering the aforesaid factual circumstances, the relief sought for in the petition has become infructuous.
