ORDER

Seeking a direction to the respondents to provide employment to the petitioner on compassionate ground, based on the letter forwarded by the second respondent to the first respondent in Letter No.007/Ko.Karunai Adippadayil Pani Niyamanam/Ni2/2018 dated 04.1.2019, this writ petition has been filed. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.

https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 3.The case of the petitioner is that her mother who was working as a Typist in the respondent Department, passed away on

28.05.1999, while in service. Seeking compassionate appointment on behalf of the petitioner, her father made various representations to the respondents, based on which, the the second respondent forwarded a letter dated 04.01.2019 to the first respondent for taking necessary action on the representation. Since no action is forthcoming, this writ petition has been filed seeking the aforesaid relief.

4.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the claim of the petitioner would be considered on merits based on the letter dated 04.01.2019.

5.In view of the above submission, the respondents are directed to consider the candidature of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate ground based on the letter forwarded by the second respondent to the first respondent dated 04.01.2019 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

6.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
