Respondents COMMON PRAYER: Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider and declare the petitioner's period of probation with effect from 20.10.2007, 18.10.2007, 23.10.2007 and by relaxing the Service Rules based on the petitioner's representations dated 12.03.2019, 18.03.2019 and 14.03.2019 respectively as done in the case of similarly placed VAOs.

COMMON ORDER These Writ Petitions have been filed to direct the first respondent to consider and declare the petitioners' period of probation with effect from 20.10.2007, 18.10.2007 and 23.10.2007 respectively by relaxing the Service Rules, as done in the case of similarly placed persons, based on their respective representations dated 12.03.2019, 18.03.2019 and 14.03.2019.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr. A. Angappan, learned Government Advocate taking notice for the respondents.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and having regard to the limited scope of the prayer, sought for herein, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioners' case, directs the respondents to consider the respective representations of the petitioners dated 12.03.2019, 18.03.2019 and 14.03.2019 on merits and in accordance with law, and pass appropriate orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioners.

4. With the above direction, these writ petitions are disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
