O R D E R

It is seen that the petitioner filed Cr.M.P.No.3758 of 2016 before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Thanjavur, who has forwarded the same under Section 156(3) Cr.P.C. to the second respondent police. Pursuant to which, the second respondent have registered a case in Cr.No.361 of 2016 on 31.08.2016 for the offences under Sections 448, 506(ii), 380 and Section 3(1) of TN Public Property (Prevention of Damage & Loss) Act, 1992 against one Selvam and two others. Under such circumstances, the petitioner is before this Court for a direction to the respondent police to file final report in a time bound manner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. Heard the learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), on instructions, submitted that the police are requiring certain documents from the petitioner and if the petitioner produces the same, the police will expeditiously complete the investigation.

4. Recording the same, this Court directs the petitioner to co-operate with the police by providing necessary materials and the respondent police are directed to expeditiously conduct the investigation in Cr.No.361 of 2016 and file either a closure report or charge sheet, as the case may be, under due intimation to the petitioner/defacto complainant.

5. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
