2. The petitioner seeks renewal of his passport. Based on the information to be received from the jurisdictional Police in the form of verification report, the respondent shall take a call. This exercise shall be completed within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
