ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/A2 who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under sections 8(c) r/w.20(b)(ii)(B)of NDPS Act in Crime No.129 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with one accused were found in possession of 1.50kgs of ganja.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent and a false case has been foisted against him.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner along with one accused were illegally found in possession of 1.50 kgs of ganja. He further submitted that already the petitioner was arrested and FIR was registered in Crime No.97 of https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2

CRL OP(MD). No.4906 of 2023 2023 and for the same cause of action.

5. Heard. Perused the materials available on record including the First Information Report.

6. It is seen that the total quantity of contraband recovered from the petitioner along with one accused is 1.50 kgs of ganja and the petitioner was arrested and FIR was registered in Crime No.97 of 2023, for the same cause of action. Hence this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

7. Hence this petition stands dismissed.
