This petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents No.1 to 3 to grant police protection to conduct survey and install the survey stone on the petitioner land in Survey No.355/2, 356/2B and 356/2A in an extent of (1 Acer 11 Cents) at Mellapattam Karsalkulam Village, Rajapalayam, Viruthunagar District and also protect the petitioner life and limb of the property.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is having the patta in his name and, therefore, seeks to have the land surveyed.

3. Heard the learned Government Advocate (Civil & Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the 4th respondent to conduct the survey after issuing notice to both the petitioner and the rival claimant. If necessary, seek police protection, the 3rd respondent shall provide police protection to survey the land. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that the respondents shall not evict any person who is in lawful possession of the land without following due process of law. The petitioner shall not evict any person under the guise of surveying the property.
