O R D E R

On the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police registered a case in Cr.No.11 of 2016 on 19.07.2016 for the offences under Sections 465, 468, 471, 420, 294(b) and 506(i) I.P.C. against one Saravanan. While so, the petitioner is before this Court with the above prayer.

2. Mr.E.V.Ethiraj, Sub-Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Virudhunagar District is present before this Court. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), on instructions, submitted that the police have collected several documents and the investigation is in progress.

3. Taking into consideration the nature of the allegations in

the F.I.R., this Court cannot issue a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation in a time bound manner. However, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation expeditiously and file either a closure report or charge sheet, as the case may be, under due intimation to the petitioner/defacto complainant.

4. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
