ORDER

[Order of the Court was delivered by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.] This petition has been filed by the petitioner, seeking a direction to the respondents to produce his daughter, by name, Priyanka, aged about 19 years and consequently, set her at liberty.

2. The petitioner would state that the detenu is his elder daughter and is studying nursing course in a private College at Vembarali. He would further state that he became aware of the fact that the 3rd respondent was engaged in eve-teasing and has harassed his daughter. While so, she was found missing from 27.02.2021. H.C.P.(MD) No.506 of 2021 this regard, he lodged a complaint with the second respondent on 05.03.2021 and the same was registered in Cr.No.49 of 2021 under woman missing. Since no proper action was taken, he has filed this petition.

3. Today, the petitioner as well as the detenue appeared before this Court through Video Conferrencing from the Public Prosecutor Office.

4. The detenue would state that she married the 3rd respondent, Dhilipkumar on 05.03.2021 at Palani; she is not willing to go with her father, the petitioner herein and she wants to live along with the 3rd respondent.

5. In view of the statement made by the detenue, we are of the view that she is not illegally detained by the 3rd respondent and therefore, she is set at liberty.
