Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to provide free house-site patta in Old Survey No.260/2A and New Survey No.112/2A in an extent of 9.13 ares situated at Thirthakadu Village, Vandiyur Bit-II Village, Madurai North, Madurai District to the members of the petitioner's association by considering the petitioner's representation dated 25.02.2022 within the time stipulated by this Court. 1/3

ORDER

The members of the petitioner's association belong to scheduled caste community. According to the petitioner, the petition mentioned lands were acquired for the purpose of granting free house-site patta. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said lands are remaining un-utilized. It appears that a number of beneficiaries were earlier identified but according to the petitioner, it is possible to accommodate many more. In this regard, a representation dated 25.02.2022 has been given by the petitioner to the third respondent. The third respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation and dispose it of on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
