O R D E R

The petitioners have filed this Petition to direct the IInd Additional District and Sessions Judge, Tirunelveli, to consider the bail application of the petitioners in Crime No.122 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police on the date of surrender itself.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioners have cheated the defacto complainant and also scolded him with filthy language and also threatened him by using his caste name. Based on the complaint of the defacto complainant, a case in Crime No.122 of 2024 for the offences under Sections 120(B), 415, 417, 420, 147, 294(b), 506 (ii) I.P.C and Sections 3(1) (r), 3(1)(Va) of SC/ST (POA) Act was registered against the petitioners.

3. This Court considered the rival submissions made.

4. Considering the nature of offence and the nature of allegations levelled against the petitioners, this Court is not inclined to allow this Petition. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 08.04.2024 Index : Yes/No Internet:Yes NCC : Yes/No LS 2/4
