ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH,J.] When the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr.Aayiram K.Selvakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3, on instructions, submitted that the authorities have not granted quarrying licence in Survey Nos.17/9, 6/1A, 2, 4, 5A, 17/1, 17/3, 18/1, 18/3, 20/2, 20/3, 21/1, 21/3, 21/4 situated at Samuthiram Village, Ilayankudi Taluk, Sivagangai District.

2. Recording the same, this writ petition is closed with a direction to the Inspector of Police, Salaigramam Police Station, Ilayankudi Taluk, Sivagangai District, to ensure that no illegal quarrying in the aforesaid Survey Numbers is done until appropriate permission is granted by the authorities concerned. However, if any permission to quarry in the aforesaid survey numbers has been actually granted by the authorities contrary to the representation made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, it is open to the parties to approach this Court for review of this order. No costs. Consequently, the connected writ miscellaneous petition is also closed.
