CRL OP(MD). No.5499 of 2020 2.The petitioners apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 323, 324, 506(ii) of I.P.C. and Section 4 of Women Harassment Act, in Crime No.99 of 2020, on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

3.Due to communal animosity, when people of the other community came to take water from the tap, these petitioners have brutally attacked the other group with weapon causing injury to six persons. In the said incident, the members of the petitioners group have also sustained injury and a case in counter has been registered. 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State strongly opposed this petition stating that due to communal disharmony tension is prevailing in the village and police bundobust has been given. If the petitioners are granted anticipatory bail, there is a possibility of recurrence of communal clash. 5.In view of the law and order threat, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
