Respondents PRAYER: Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of Habeas Corpus, directing respondents 1 and 2 to produce the person or body of the petitioner's daughter namely Vijayalakshmi, daughter of Annadurai, aged about 23 years before this Hon'ble Court and set her at liberty. ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J.] The petitioner is the mother of the detenue. The respondentsPolice have produced the detenue, who appeared before us through video conferencing and she has stated that she got married with one Prabhu, who has also produced before us through video conferencing.

2. We have also spoken to the petitioner. The detenue is determined to go along with Prabhu, whom she says she has married. Therefore, we find that there is no illegal detention and we cannot compel the detenue, who is aged 23 years, to go along with her mother.

3. Therefore, the Habeas Corpus petition is closed.
