For Respondent : Mr.S.Chandarasekar, Additional Public Prosecutor PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.76 of 2020 on the respondent police ORDER : The Court made the following order :- Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

2. The petitioners apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under sections 147, 148, 294(b), 323, 324 and 506(ii) of I.P.C., in Crime No.76 of 2020, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

CRL OP(MD). No.5501 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

3. According to the First Information Report, on 18.05.2020, when there was disruption of power supply in the village, the defacto complainant being the employee of the panchayat union tried to rectify the defect. These petitioners along with three others due to previous enmity, has attacked the de-facto complainant with wooden log. The de-facto complainant sustained contusion injury on his shoulder and hip.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State would submit that the petitioners had attacked the de-facto complainant on the impression that he is disrupting the power supply and preventing them from celebrating the festival.

5. Taking note of the act, since the petitioners herein who have interfered in the act of the de-facto complainant, while discharging his duty, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
