ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Thiruppathur, Sivagangai District, to expedite the trial in C.C.No.182 of 2022 and complete the same within a stipulated time.

2. Since no adverse order is likely to be passed against the respondents 2 to 6, notice to them is dispensed with.

3.When the matter came up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that since there is an order of interim stay in Crl.O.P(MD).No.2769 of 2024, dated 13.03.2024, which is pending before this Court, the trial could not be commenced.

4.In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that already there was an order of interim stay, the petitioner is directed to take necessary steps to vacate stay granted in Crl.O.P(MD).No.2769 of 2024 and get it disposed of and thereafter, produce the order copy before the learned trial Court. On production of the same, the learned trial Court is directed to expedite the trial and dispose the case in C.C.No.182 of 2022 as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six month, thereafter.
