Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission to perform the program of Adal Padal program on 06.04.2022 night at about 6.00 pm to 11.00 pm at Keelapatti, Inamkulathur Post, Sri Rangam Taluk, Arulmigu Sri Bhagavathiamman Temple, Trichy District and to provide adequate police protection based on the petitioner's representation, dated 26.03.2022. The prayer in this writ petition is to direct the respondents to grant permission to perform the program of Adal Padal program on 06.04.2022 night at about 6.00 pm to 11.00 pm at Keelapatti, Inamkulathur Post, Sri Rangam Taluk, Arulmigu Sri Bhagavathiamman Temple, Trichy District and to provide adequate police protection based on the petitioner's representation, dated 26.03.2022. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor stated that already there was a rival between the petitioner and the counter party in respect of celebrating the festival in Arulmigu Sri Bhagavathiamman Temple, Keelapatti, Inamkulathur Post, Sri Rangam Taluk, Trichy District. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P (MD).No. 6043 of 2022 Further, FIR had been registered between the petitioner and the counter party in Crime Nos. 24 and 25 of 2019 while celebrating a festival for the very same temple.
3.That apart, the petitioner without including the counter party to the Writ Petition, seeking permission to conduct Adal Padal program on 06.04.2022 for the very same temple. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to direct the second respondent to consider the request of the petitioner herein. However, the second respondent is directed to issue notice to the petitioner and the counter party and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, on or before 06.04.2022.
4.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
