ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/A3, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(B), 25 and 29(1) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 in Crime No.625 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that on 03.12.2022, while the respondent police were in patrol duty, they witnessed that before Anitha Electronics there were some transactions between two vehicles bearing registration No.TN 09 S5478 hyndai car and black yamaha Rx bearing registration No.TN 459887 and on seeing police, tried to flee away from the spot. However, the respondent police arrested A1 & A2 and could not catch A3. On search, it was found that the accused persons were in illegal possession of 1.350 kg of ganja. Hence, the case.

3.Heard both sides and perused the materials available in records.

CRL OP(MD)No.5031 of 2023 4.It is seen that the petitioner and other accused were in illegal possession of 1.350 kgs of ganja. That apart, the petitioner is having six previous cases. Hence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is dismissed.
