Respondents PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. praying to direct the 2nd respondent herein to conduct immediate enquiry into Crime No.197 of 2016 registered on the file of the second respondent police and to file final report before the Court concerned within the time stipulated by this Court. ORDER

This petition is filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent herein to conduct immediate enquiry into Crime No.197 of 2016 registered on the file of the second respondent police and to file final report within a time frame.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), on instructions, would submit that the respondent police have already conducted the enquiry and closed the case in Crime No.197 of 2016 as 'mistake of fact' and the closure report is yet to be served to the petitioner.

4. Recording the above submission, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to serve a copy of the closure report to the petitioner within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and after https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

receiving the closure report, it is open to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
