Respondents Prayer:- Habeas Corpus Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus directing the sixth respondent herein to produce the body and person of the petitioner's son namely Suresh @ Kasinivendhan, Son of Srirenga Thevar, aged about 38 years before this Court and set him at liberty forthwith and pass such further or other orders.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to trace out and produce the detenu by name Suresh @ Kasinivendhan, son of the petitioner.

2. It is represented on the side of the respondents that the detenu has been arrested in connection with Crime No.2 of 2015, Thoothukudi CBCID registered under Sections 302, 294(b) and 506(ii) of the Indian Penal Code and also under Sections 25(i)(a) of Arms Act, 1982 read with 3(2)(v) of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 and subsequently, remanded to custody.

3. For the purpose of proving the contentions urged on the side of the respondents, certified copy of remand order has been produced wherein it has been stated that the detenu has been arrayed as accused in Crime No.2 of 2015 and subsequently, remanded to custody.

4. Considering the aforesaid factual circumstances, the relief sought for in the petition has become infructuous.
