Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to dispose the patta appeal proceedings No.2239/2022/A1 within time stipulated by this Honble Court.

ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondent to dispose of the patta appeal proceedings No.2239/2022/A1 within a time stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

2. The petitioner filed an application before the respondent, seeking cancellation of patta issued in the name of private individuals, pertaining to the property of the petitioner, in Town Survey No.912, New Survey No.30, Ward No.III, Block No.22, Palani Town, and, based on the said application, the respondent initiated proceedings in Na.Ka.No. 2239/2022//A1, dated 30.12.2022, issuing notice to petitioner and private individuals. Thereafter, there is no progress in the matter. Therefore, the petitioner has come before this Court with the above mentioned prayer.

3. Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondent, submits that the proceedings pending on the file of the respondent will be completed within a time stipulated by this Court.

4. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the respondent is directed to complete the enquiry in his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.2239/2022//A1, dated 30.12.2022, and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the date of

receipt of copy of this order, after issuing notice to petitioner, individuals, in whose names pattas are issued, and other interested parties.

5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. 03.07.2025 NCC :
