This petition has been filed to direct the respondent herein not to harass the petitioner on the guise of enquiry on the basis of any complaint.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondent and perused the materials placed on record.

3. Mr.S.Murugan, Special Sub-Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Sivagangai, is present in Court today. On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that on the complaint lodged by one Nirmala, alleging that the petitioner's husband had cheated her on the promise of getting job in Singapore, a petition enquiry is pending against the petitioner.

4. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to participate in the enquiry and during enquiry, she shall not be harassed. During the course of enquiry, if any cognizable offence is made out, the respondent is free to register an FIR and this order shall not be a shield for the petitioner against arrest.
