ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to correct the errors made in the Encumbrance Certificate regarding Document No.1/2026, dated 31.01.2026, on the file of the second respondent in accordance with the petitioner's representation dated 08.02.2026.
2. Upon hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and upon perusing the materials available on record, it is seen that the grievance of the petitioner is innocuous. The petitioner states that a Sale Certificate issued in respect of the property sold under the Securitization and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002 was presented for registration and the same was duly registered and indexed. However, the entry in the Encumbrance Certificate does not reflect the correct particulars of the claimant/executant and the details of the document. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed seeking correction of the said errors.
3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader, taking notice on behalf of the respondents, submitted that necessary steps would be taken to rectify the errors.
4. In view of the above submission, this writ petition is disposed of on the following terms:
The second respondent is directed to correct the errors in the Encumbrance Certificate pertaining to Document No.1 of 2026 dated 31.01.2026 on the file of the second respondent, as detailed in the petitioner's representation dated 08.02.2026, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a web copy of this order, without insisting upon production of a certified copy of the order.
No costs.
