This petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the second Page No. 1 of 4
respondent police to expedite the enquiry in C.S.R.No.716 of 2024 dated 29.12.2024 on the complaint of the petitioner.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner lodged a complaint against her husband Sumanraj on 29.12.2024 and the same was assigned C.S.R.No.716 of 2024 and thereafter, the 2nd respondent police have not taken any steps. Therefore, she has filed this petition.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that already they received the complaint from the petitioner and assigned C.S.R.No.716 of 2024. Thereafter, the petitioner has not cooperated for enquiry and they issued summons twice. After registration of C.S.R, the petitioner has not appeared and therefore, they are unable to proceed the enquiry. If the petitioner appears, then they will conduct enquiry and dispose of the same within one week.
4. Considering the prayer of the petitioner and the second respondent have also represented that the petitioner has not cooperated for Page No. 2 of 4
enquiry, and recording the same, this Court direct the petitioner to appear before the second respondent on 22.03.2025 for enquiry. Thereafter, the second respondent is directed to dispose of the same within one week.
