ORDER : The Court made the following order :- Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent.

2.The petitioner apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 353, 379 of I.P.C. r/w Section 21(4) of Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 r/w Section 3 of TNPPDL Act 1992, in Crime No.72 of 2020, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

3.According to the prosecution, this petitioner illegally mined river sand and transported it in his Tractor. When the de-facto https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

CRL OP(MD). No.5578 of 2020 complainant in the course of surveillance tried to intercept the vehicle, the petitioner caused injury to the de-facto complainant (VAO) and has fleded with his Tractor.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) appearing for the State submits that the petitioner is having two previous cases similar in nature.

5.Taking note of the bad antecedent and the nature of the complaint given by the public servant, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
