O R D E R

It is the case of the petitioner that on the complaint given by him, the 2nd respondent police have registered a case in Crime No.148/2017 under Sections 294(b), 307 and 506(ii) IPC against the respondents 3 to 5 and therefore, there is a threat to the life of the petitioner from the respondents 3 to 5. Hence, the petitioner has given a representation dated 24.03.2017 seeking police protection and has filed the present petition with the above prayer.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the

learned Government Advocate for the respondents 1 and 2.

3. Mr.V.Perumalsamy, Special Sub Inspector of Police, Kovilpatti West Police Station is present before this Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate, on instructions, submitted that the representation dated 24.03.2017 given by the petitioner is under consideration and that the police will afford sufficient protection to the petitioner against any threat from the respondents 3 to 5.

5. Recording the undertaking, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to ensure that no harm befalls the petitioner from the respondents 3 to 5.

With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
