O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus, seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 16.03.2022 and 25.03.2022 on merits and grant permission to conduct the temple festival with Turmeric Water Abishegam followed by offering Pongal, Theechatti, Mulaipari and Milk Kudam for the God Sri Kaliamman Temple at Panikkanenthal Village, Kariyapatti Taluk, Virudhunagar District to be scheduled on 12.04.2022 and 13.04.2022.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents stated that there are rival parties in celebrating the festival in Sri Kaliamman Temple at Panikkanenthal Village, Kariyapatti Taluk, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

In this regard, a peace committee meeting had been conducted by the fourth respondent and both the parties failed to arrive at any settlement and as such, the fourth respondent directed them to approach the Court for appropriate relief. The representation made by the rival parties revealed that there was a dispute between two groups with regard to the celebration of the festival in Sri Kaliamman Temple. 3.Considering the above, the third respondent is directed to conduct an enquiry on the representation submitted by the petitioner, dated 25.03.2022, after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and the counter parties, pass orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 12.04.2022.

4.With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
