ORDER

The present petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to take necessary action on the CSR No.674 of 2024.

2. According to the petitioner, he is the owner of the car bearing Registration No.TN 59 CP 3649 and he purchased the car by availing loan. While so, friend of the petitioner, namely, one Jayapandi obtained the petitioner's car for his urgent need on 26.07.2024 and thereafter, the car has not been returned. Thereby, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the respondent police on 19.09.2024. The respondent police also assigned CSR No.674 of 2024 but no action was taken till date. Hence, the petitioner filed this petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the official respondents would submit that they received the complaint from 2/5

the petitioner, assigned CSR No.674 of 2024 and the same is under enquiry. They will complete the enquiry within one week.

4. Since the complaint of the petitioner is pending with the second respondent, this Court directs the second respondent to take necessary action in CSR No.674 of 2024 in accordance with law, within a period of one (1) week from the date of this order.

5. With the above said direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
