ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 5 would submit that the lease period for illegal sand mining/quarrying expired. Thus, no further adjudication is required in the writ petition.

2. Therefore, in the event of any illegal sand mining/quarrying, the petitioner is at liberty to file a complaint before the jurisdictional police and the revenue authorities who in turn has to initiate prosecution against the offenders.
