ORDER

The petitioner in this case is A-2. This Court had referred the matter to Mediation and Conciliation Centre, Tirunelveli, in order to bring an amicable settlement between the parties. Accordingly, a joint memo was filed before the Mediation Centre by both the parties on 30.09.2016 and pursuant to the same, the petitioner had also paid a sum of Rupees four lakhs in two installments to the de facto complainant and a report sent by the District Legal Services Authority, Tirunelveli dated 05.11.2016 reveals the fact that the case has been amicably settled between the parties before the Mediation Centre.

2.The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that during the pendency of this Criminal Original Petition, CC has been transferred to the file of Judicial Magistrate, Alangulam and has been re-numbered as CC No.518 of 2017. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 3.In view of the above, the proceedings in CC No.518 of 2017 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Alangulam is hereby

quashed.The settlement agreement entered into between the parties dated 30.09.2016, shall form part of this order. 4.Accordingly, this Criminal original Petition is allowed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
