The present Writ Petition has been filed by a senior citizen seeking a Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to consider her application dated 2/5

11.02.2026 filed under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007.

2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, even though the application was received by the second respondent on 13.02.2026 so far proceedings have not been initiated.

3. Considering the above said facts, the second respondent is directed to consider the said application and conduct an enquiry after giving due opportunity to all the interested parties and pass orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
