ORDER
Heard both sides.
2.The petitioner and his siblings had commonly owned the premises bearing D.No.4/29, Kudi Theru, Melavaladi, Lalgudi. The petitioner's father is no more. There are totally seven shearers. The old building had been substantially demolished. The petitioner is residing in the undemolished portion with his family. This is confirmed during spot inspection also. The petitioner did one mistake. The electricity service connection stood in the name of Parattaya Pillai. The petitioner appears to have on his own shifted the electricity service connection as well as meter to his current residence. When this was found during inspection, the connection was cut off. I will not fault 2/4
TANGEDCO for having disconnected the supply of electricity. The petitioner's counsel produced photographs. I am satisfied that the petitioner is entitled to independent connection in his own name. The petitioner is permitted to submit a formal application. The said application shall be honoured by the second respondent and electricity service connection shall be provided to the petitioner subject to fulfilment of usual formalities. Since I am satisfied that the petitioner is residing in the petition mentioned premises, the third respondent is also directed to issue the certificates sought for by the petitioner. 3.This writ petition is allowed on these terms. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 20.03.2024 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No ias To:- The Village Administrative Officer (VAO), Appadurai, Melavaladi, Lalgudi, Trichirappalli.
