Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records pertaining to the Impugned order of the 2nd respondent in his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.M2/358/2019 dated 12.05.2020 and quash the same and consequently to direct the 1 to 3rd respondents to take appropriate criminal action and other lawful action against the 4th respondent for illegal quarrying in his patta land in S.Nos. 3/5, 8/1, 8/2 and 8/3 of Virayadhakandan Village, Ilayangudi Taluk, Sivagangai District to a total extent of 1.14.5 hectares based on the petitioner's representation dated 15.05.2020.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) Today when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that no river sand quarrying/mining operations are allowed in the subject place. 2/4

2. Therefore, in the event of any theft/illegal river sand quarrying/mining, the petitioner is at liberty to file a complaint before the jurisdictional police and the revenue authorities who in turn has to initiate prosecution against the offenders.
