For Respondent : Mr.R.Anandharaj, Additional Public Prosecutor PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime no. 56 of 2020 on the respondent police ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under sections 4(1) (a),4(1-A), 4(1)(g) TNP Act seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on specific information when the police party went to the place of the third petitioner they found the petitioners herein brewing arrack illegally. On seeing the police party they fleded from the scene. The police has recovered 25 litres of ferment wash and two litres of arrack. Odour of arrack was found to be poisonous and the same has been sent to chemical analysis.

3. Taking note of the fact that these petitioners have indulged in preparing arrack during the lock down period and had fleded from the scene of occurrence on seeing the police party, grating of anticipatory bail to these petitioners is not conducive for investigation.

4. Hence this petition stands dismissed.
