Respondents PRAYER: Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus directing the respondents 1 & 2 to produce the body or person of the detenu namely B.Madhusudan S/o.Baskaran, aged 14 years before this Court and hand over custody of the detenu to the petitioner. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents 1 & 2 to trace out and produce the detenu by name Madhusudan, aged 14 years, son of the petitioner.

2. The petitioner is present and he has been identified by his counsel.

3. The second respondent viz., Inspector of Police, Kumbakonam West Police Station has produced the detenu and he has been identified by the petitioner/his father. The detenu has expressed his willingness to go with the petitioner/his father.

4. Considering the aforesaid factual circumstances, the relief sought for in the petition has become infructuous.

5. In fine, this Habeas Corpus petition deserves dismissal and accordingly is dismissed.
